Digital content comes in numerous formats from many sources and end users’ habits are changing. Users download to their PCs and an ever-increasing number of handheld devices with varying operating systems.
The challenge – that Racana meets – is to efficiently manage, market and monetize content including music, video, games, applications, ebooks, and more from a wide range of sources to a wide range of destinations, while ensuring the settlement from consumers and to all players involved.
Led by CEO Amit Sternberg, Racana was established in 2003 by digital content experts. Having started as a ringtone provider and then video encoder, the company began developing in 2005 the content switch engine that would later become the core of Racana's solution.
Today, Racana employs a team of professionals in the fields of software development, content management, digitization of media formats and marketing. Funded by private investors and cash-flow positive, Racana is based in Ramat Gan, Israel.
